Glass Microspheres as Bondline Spacers

Glass microspheres have a wide array of uses in many different applications. The glass spheres are utilized in numerous industry applications from research, medicine, aerospace, and adhesive to name a few. The spheres are generally a few microns up to mm sized in diameter. Glass spheres have a low thermal conductivity which makes them suitable for high temperature applications and solid spheres have high compression strengths to withstand certain mechanical pressures. Precision glass microspheres with high spherical quality and narrow particle size distributions can be highly effective in adhesive applications as bondline spacers to maintain a controlled gap. The crush...
